Abstract
Se describe un sistema de barrera contra incendios que comprende por lo menos una capa de composicion de resina de silicato alcali y por lo menos una capa de cualquiera de las siguientes: una capa aislante, capa intumescente, capa formadora de espuma, capa corrugada, capa superficial reflexiva, y una capa de material de refuerzo. El sistema de barrera contra incendios cuando se utiliza en asociacion con un sustrato tal como madera, polimero, etc. proporciona una funcion de resistencia al fuego mejorada, barrera termica, barrera de oxidacion y similares.
