Abstract
La presente invencion se refiere generalmente a un metodo para atemperar la respuesta glicemica posprandial a una comida mediante la alimentacion de un sistema de fibra de viscosidad inducida controlada por acido. El primer componente del sistema de fibra de viscosidad inducida es fibra anionica soluble. El segundo componente del sistema de fibra de viscosidad inducida es cationes multivalentes soluble en acido, insolubles en agua. El sistema de fibra sera incorporado tipicamente en un nutricional de reemplazo de comida. La presente invencion se refiere tambien a un metodo para entregar fibra soluble a diabeticos y a personas que necesitan perder peso. Adicionalmente, la invencion se refiere a un metodo para promover la sensacion de plenitud y saciedad mediante la alimentacion de un producto nutricional que contiene el sistema de fibra de viscosidad inducida.
