Abstract

Un precalentador de devolatilizacion del polimero (10) y un metodo para usar el mismo para precalentar una solucion de polimero/solvente; el precalentador (10) incluye un recipiente (12) hueco, vertical, alargado que define una camara (14) de calentamiento; una entrada (16) se ubica adyacente al extremo (18) superior de la camara (14) y una salida (20) se ubica adyacente al extremo (22) inferior de la camara (14); una pluralidad de paquetes (26, 28, 30) de tubos de calentamiento se montan en la camara (14), cada paquete incluye una pluralidad de tubos de calentamiento en serpentin, alargados los cuales se disponen en una configuracion que tiene un eje principal que se extiende a traves de la camara en una direccion transversal al eje longitudinal del recipiente; cada tubo (32, 34) incluye una pluralidad de porciones (36) de tubo curvadas y una pluralidad de porciones (38) de tubo de union que interconectan las porciones de tubo curvadas; todas las porciones (36) de tubo de cada tubo se disponen en un plano comun que se ordena en paralelismo esencial en relacion al eje longitudinal del recipiente y la configuracion del tubo es esencialmente rectangular para presentar un para de bordes opuestos dispuestos en paralelismo esencial en una relacion de uno con otro.
