Abstract
Un proceso de separacion mejorado para la oxidacion catalitica continua de alquilos aromaticos para la produccion de acidos carboxilicos aromaticos en un medio de solvente liquido, en donde la corriente de producto del reactor se extrae del proceso de oxidacion, despues se separa para producir una corriente que contiene el producto, corriente de solucion madre y una corriente de purga que contiene el catalizador que se pasa entonces a traves del sistema de filtracion (10) y la serie de recipientes de sorcion (30, 40, 50, 60) para remover el catalizador de oxidacion y separar las impurezas del catalizador. El solvente se separa entonces de los subproductos de la reaccion por metodos de destilacion convencionales. El solvente se recicla al proceso mientras que el residuo de subproducto de la reaccion se coloca por incineracion. El catalizador de oxidacion se eluye de las columnas de intercambio de ion y regresarse al proceso.
