Abstract

La invencion se refiere a un metodo para producir tereftalato de polietileno modificado con unidades acido ftalico, de una manera tal, que se evite las elevadas perdidas de acido ftalico durante la esterificacion y la policondensacion, y de tal manera que se mantenga las propiedades ventajosas de la tecnologia de aplicacion, provistas por el acido ftalico. Conforme a la invencion, se anade un precondensado que consiste de anhidrido de acido ftalico y etilenglicol, producido sin catalizador, en la etapa de esterificacion y/o de policondensacion. Se usa el etilenglicol con un exceso molar de 2 a 3.5 con relacion al anhidrido de acido ftaIico.
