Abstract

Se describen unidades monoméricas utiles para reducir el modulo de composiciones de silicona poliméricas bajas en agua. Las composiciones bajas en agua incluyendo las unidades monoméricas sujeto son especialmente utiles en la formacion de artículos biomédicos tales como lentes de contacto de silicona bajas en agua (Ver Formula) donde: A es un grupo insaturado activado; R y D independientemente son grupos alquilo, alquileno o haloalquilo que tienen de 1 a 10 átomos de carbono donde dichos átomos de carbono pueden incluir uniones éter entre ellos; M es hidrogeno, fluor o grupo alquilo; R1, R2, R3 y R4 están seleccionados independientemente entre grupos alquilo o haloalquilo donde pueden estar incluidas uniones éter entre los átomos de carbono, grupos siloxano; y grupos de anillos carbocíclicos que tienen de 6 a 18 átomos de carbono; m es un entero de 1 a 500; n es un entero de 1 a 20; x e y son 0 o 1; z es 1 o 2; y x+u+z=3; de modo que al menos uno de R1 o R2 sea un grupo alquilo que tenga de 1 a 10 átomos de carbono.
