Abstract
Se presenta un sistema y un método para la reduccion de NOx en gases de la combustion. Se inyecta un P4 en una emulsion líquida/líquido acuoso en el gas de la combustion para inducir la oxidacion acelerada por medio de fosforo del NO en el gas de la combustion. Los oxidos fosforicos y NO2 se eliminan subsecuentemente de la corriente del gas de la combustion en un sitio que se encuentre en un nivel lo suficientemente abajo del sitio de inyeccion de tal forma que la oxidacion de NO en el gas de la combustion se finalice substancialmente antes de la eliminacion de NO2. Esto se mejora de manera significativa el porcentaje de recuperacion de NOx del sistema y método actuales en comparacion con los de la técnica anterior. El sistema puede reconvertirse en la corriente del gas de desecho de cualquier fuente de combustion estacionaria sin tomar en cuenta el combustible quemado. El sistema se utiliza de manera ventajosa en conexion con un depurador de agua para la eliminacion de No2 y otros componentes de los gases de la combustion solubles en agua. La inyeccion de la emulsion da como resultado la creacion de ozono por medio de la oxidacion controlada de fosforo blanco. El ozono reacciona con el oxido de nitrogeno (NO), que por lo general representa en 90% del gas de la combustion NOx para producir dioxido de nitrogeno (NO2). Los productos de la reaccion (NO2 y el P4O10) pueden eliminarse del gas de la combustion junto con el SO2 y las partículas en el depurador de agua, donde son transferidas de manera eficiente desde la fase gaseosa hacia el líquido de depuracion temponado. en el depurador, el gradiente de temperatura de preferencia se fija a través del punto de condensacion, de tal forma que recupera tanto la energía latente como la energía térmica sensible del gas de la combustion, y esta energía puede venderse a consumidores comerciales o domésticos para recuperar por lo menos una parte de los costos del capital (compra y operacion) asociados con el sistema.
