Abstract

Invenţia se referă la un procedeu de curăţare a gazelor de ardere de oxizi de sulf, gaze rezultate din arderea combustibililor cu sulf, la cazane industriale sau în alte sectoare. Procedeul constă în dirijarea ascendentă, a gazelor ce trebuie curăţate, într-un turn de curăţare cu o singură treaptă, în contracurent cu un nămol de particule fin divizate, de carbonat de calciu cu sau fără alte materiale reactive, după care gazele curăţate intră pe un traiect orizontal, pentru o etapă de eliminare a ceţii şi de recuperare a căldurii reziduale, cu un schimbător de căldură.
