Abstract

De conformidad con la presente invencion, se proporciona un proceso para la fabricacion de sal de metal alcalino de ácido clavulánico en donde se extrae el ácido clavulánico impuro en solucion acuosa por medio de una mezcla solvente de cetona y acetato de alquilo bajo condiciones ácidas, tratado en una forma convencional, y se agrega a una solucion de sal de metal alcalino de ácido alcanoico disuelta en un solvente de cetona o alcanol para obtener la sal de metal alcalino pura de ácido clavulánico. Ya que el proceso de conformidad con la presente invencion omite el paso de formacion de sal amina, se proporciona un método economico y simple para la fabricacion de sal de metal alcalino de ácido clavulánico en un rendimiento elevado sin el empleo excesivo de solvente.
