Abstract
Se producen preparaciones de inmunoglobulina de título elevado llevando a cabo los siguientes pasos en sucesion: fraccionar plasma sanguíneo de un suministro comun de plasma, en donde por lo menos una fraccion industrialmente util que contiene substancialmente inmunoglobulina G policlonal es separada, obteniéndose por lo menos una fraccion residual; preparar una solucion de proteína de los componentes de proteína contenidos en la fraccion residual contenida en el paso anterior o en subfracciones de la misma; y someter la solucion de proteína resultante por lo menos una vez a cromatografía de afinidad con ligandos inmovilizados de por lo menos un grupo de ligandos, las proteínas de plasma específicas siendo ligadas a los ligandos, y removiendo las proteínas de plasma ligadas, que son convertidas como componentes activos en una preparacion de inmunoglobulina de título elevado. Las inmunoglobulinas obtenidas se pueden procesar en un producto estable al almacenamiento, bien tolerado por vía intravenosa. El método que conduce a una preparacion valiosa de inmunoglobulina usa fracciones de plasma humano que hasta ahora han sido rechazadas en métodos de fraccionamiento de plasma industriales convencionales.
