Abstract
Una aleacion de aluminio adecuada para la maquinizacion o terminado a máquina, la aleacion consiste esencialmente de: aproximadamente 0-15-1.0 % en peso de cobre, aproximadamente 0.4-1.5% en peso de estaño, aproximadamente 0.65-1.35% en peso de magnesio, aproximadamente 0.4-1.1 % en peso de silicio, aproximadamente 0.002-0.35 % en peso de magnesio, hasta aproximadamente 0.5% en peso de fierro, hasta aproximadamente 0.15 % en peso de cromo y hasta aproximadamente 0.15% en peso de titanio, el resto sustancialmente aluminio. En una base preferida, esta aleacion contiene aproximadamente 0.45-0.7 % en peso de cobre, aproximadamente 0.9-1.3 % en peso de estaño, aproximadamente 0.7-0.9 % en peso de magnesio y aproximadamente 0.45-0.75 % en peso de silicio. La aleacion está libre de plomo, libre de bismuto, libre de níquel, libre de zirconio y libre de cadmio. Existe un método mejorado descrito adicionalmente para fabricar la materia prima para la máquina de hacer tornillos o producto de alambre, varilla o barra a partir de esta aleacion mediante el vaciado, precalentamiento, extrusion, termotratamiento de la solucion, terminado en frío y procesamiento de manera térmica de la composicion de aleacion mencionada anteriormente.
