Abstract
La presente invencion se refiere a un procedimiento para producir una aleacion de material para torno de roscar esencialmente libre de plomo, que comprende las etapas de proporcionar un lingote de aluminio fundido que tiene una composicion esencialmente consiste de aproximadamente .55 a .70% en peso de silicio, aproximadamente .15 a .45% en peso de hierro, aproximadamente .30 a .40% en peso de cobre, aproximadamente 0.8 a .15% en peso de manganeso, aproximadamente .80 a 1.10% en peso de magnesio, aproximadamente .08 a .14% en peso de cromo, no más de aproximadamente .25% en peso de zinc, aproximadamente .007 a .07% en peso de titanio, aproximadamente .20 a .8% en peso de bismuto, aproximadamente .15 a .25% en peso de estaño, el resto aluminio e impurezas inevitables; homogeneizar la aleacion a una temperatura en la gama de aproximadamente 482 a 571 degree C (900 a 1060 degree F) por un período de tiempo de al menos 1 hora; enfriar a temperatura ambiente; cortar el lingote en tochos; calentar y extruir los tochos en una forma deseada; y termotratar mecánicamente la forma de aleacion extruida.
