Abstract

Un contenedor o recipiente de vidrio reforzado como, pero no limitado a, viales para contener productos farmacéuticos o vacunas en un estado hermético y/o estéril; el contenedor de vidrio reforzado se somete a un procedimiento de reforzamiento que produce compresión en la superficie y tensión dentro de la pared del contenedor; el procedimiento de reforzamiento está diseñado de modo que la tensión dentro de la pared sea lo suficientemente mayor para asegurar la falla catastrófica del contenedor, haciendo así que el producto sea inutilizable, si la esterilidad se ve comprometida por una grieta a través de la pared; la tensión es mayor que una tensión central umbral, por arriba de la cual se garantiza la falla catastrófica del contenedor, eliminando así cualquier potencial para la violación de la integridad del compuesto farmacéutico.
