Abstract
Un método y aparato para mejorar un material de alimentación de petróleo con agua super-crítica son provisto. El método incluye los pasos de : (1) calentar y presurizar un material de alimentación de petróleo; (2) calentar y presurizar una alimentación de agua por encima del punto super-crítico del agua; (3) combinar el material de alimentación de petróleo caliente y presurizado y la alimentación de agua caliente y presurizada para producir una alimentación combinada; (4) suministrar la alimentación combinada a un reactor hidro-térmico para producir una primera corriente de producto; (5) suministrar la primera corriente de producto a una unidad de proceso de post-tratamiento para producir una segunda corriente de producto; y (6) separar la segunda corriente de producto hacia una corriente de petróleo tratada y mejorada y una corriente de agua.
