Abstract

Un sistema comprende un primer sistema de energía, un expansor de intervalo, y un controlador; el expansor de intervalo tiene un segundo sistema de energía, primero y segundo convertidores, y un derivador; el primer convertidor se acopla selectivamente entre el primer sistema de energía y una carga eléctrica, el segundo convertidor se acopla selectivamente entre el segundo sistema de energía y al menos un lado de salida del primer convertidor y un lado de entrada de la carga eléctrica, y el derivador se acopla selectivamente entre el primer sistema de energía y al menos un lado de salida del primer convertidor, un lado de salida del segundo convertidor y el lado de entrada de la carga eléctrica; el controlador puede controlar el primer sistema de energía y al expansor de intervalo para trabajar en modo de operación normal y un modo de protección de fallas, en el modo de operación normal, el primero y el segundo sistemas de energía están acoplados en paralelo a la carga eléctrica a través del primero y segundo convertidores, respectivamente, y en el modo de protección de fallas, el primer sistema de energía está acoplado a la carga eléctrica a través de la derivación, y el segundo sistema de energía está desacoplado de la carga eléctrica; la presente invención se refiere además a un método para abastecer potencia a la carga eléctrica utilizando dicho sistema.
