Abstract

Se describe un sistema de bomba de calor de gas impulsado por gas natural, propano o un combustible gaseoso similar. El sistema utiliza recuperación de calor y adición de calor para manejar ciclos de calentamiento y enfriamiento eficientes. En un ciclo de enfriamiento se ventea exceso de calor a la atmósfera mientras que en un ciclo de calentamiento, el exceso de calor se utiliza para calentar una estructura en cuestión y para evitar la formación de hielo en intercambiadores de calor exteriores. Un sistema de control monitorea la operación del sistema y corrige condiciones de operación anormales o apaga el sistema hasta que el sistema pueda inspeccionarse manualmente. Los costos de la operación del sistema son menores que los sistemas eléctricos debido a las eficiencias y al uso de gas natural o propano.
