Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un proceso para la preparación de ácido láctico y ácido 2-hidroxi-3-butenoico o ésteres de los mismos a partir de un azúcar en presencia de un material de metalo-silicato, un ion de metal y un solvente, en donde el ion de metal se selecciona de uno o más del grupo que consiste de iones de potasio, iones de sodio, iones de litio, iones de rubidio y iones de cesio.
