Abstract

La invención se refiere a un método para el tratamiento de una solución que contiene sulfato de cinc, de manera que cuando menos se pude separar de ésta uno de metales raros tales como indio, galio y germanio. Una parte de los metales que van a ser separados puede ser precipitado a partir de la solución de sulfato de cinc mediante neutralización con solución ácida y cuando menos una parte es cementada por medio de polvo de metal. Los precipitados sólidos que se forman pueden combinarse y tratarse de manera subsecuente en alguna forma adecuada para extraer por lixiviación los metales deseados.
