Abstract

Se proveen procesos y métodos para formar y preparar composiciones y productos estructurales a partir de ellas: mediante los cuales se incrementa en gran medida el área de superficie de polvos a base de aluminosilicatos y se vuelve químicamente activa, de modo que, cuando se mezclan los polvos funcionalizados con agua, ocurre una policindensaciíon del agua entre la superficies, que une entre sí los polvos para formar un material estructural, con emisión insignificante de compuestos de carbono. En otra modalidad, los polvos funcional izados en la superficie pueden ser mezclados con un aditivo: un agregado seco, tal como arena y agua para formar un lechada que puede ser vertida o colada a cualquier forma deseada y curada rápidamente a una forma endurecida, adecuada para ser usada como material estructural, con resistencia mecánica equivalente a la de los productos de concreto a base de cemento Portland. En modalidades adicionales, los polvos a base de aluminosilicatos son nano-*funcional izados y funcionalizados en espuma para proveer materiales de peso ligero y estructuralmente fuertes que también pueden usar en combinación con, o como reemplazo de, el cemento Portland,.
