Un proceso para separar, recuperar y purificar ácido dicarboxílico de caldos de fermentación, comprendiendo dicho proceso los siguientes pasos, f) Separación de la biomasa y cualquier sólido que se encuentre presente del caldo de fermentación en dos etapas consecutivas, g) Separación de la solución de ácido dicarboxílico del caldo de fermentación libre de biomasa por medio de cromatografía en lecho móvil simulado (SMB), h) Purificación fina de la solución de ácido dicarboxílico, i) Evaporación y cristalización en múltiples etapas, j) Separación y secado de los cristales.
