Abstract

En la presente invención se proporcionan un dispersante para la polimerización en suspensión el cual permite la producción de partículas de polímero de vinilo que tienen un diámetro de partícula pequeño a una cantidad pequeña agregada, un método para producir ese dispersante para la polimerización en suspensión y un método para producir partículas de polímero de vinilo usando ese dispersante para la polimerización en suspensión. El dispersante es un polvo el cual contiene un polímero de alcohol vinílico que tiene una estructura representada por la siguiente fórmula 1 y tiene un diámetro de partícula promedio de 100 µm o más 2,000 µm o menos, donde el dispersante contiene partículas A las cuales tienen un diámetro de partícula de 500 µm o más y partículas B las cuales tienen un diámetro de partícula de 220 µm o menos y una relación (A/B) de una absorbancia A de una solución acuosa al 0.1% en masa de las partículas A en una longitud de paso óptico de 10 mm y una longitud de onda de 320 nm a una absorbancia B de una solución acuosa al 0.1% en masa de las partículas B a la longitud de paso óptico de 10 mm y la longitud de onda de 320 nm es 0.7 o más y 1.2 o menos. (ver Fórmula) En la fórmula 1, R1 representa un grupo alquilo que tiene de 1 a 4 átomos de carbono; n es un número entero de 1 a 10; y * denota un sitio de unión a una parte diferente de la estructura representada por la fórmula 1 anterior en el polímero de alcohol vinílico.
