Abstract
Se describen células microbianas genéticamente modificadas para la producción de un carbohidrato de interés, en donde las células microbianas poseen una mayor disponibilidad intracelular de al menos un fosfato de azúcar, y producen el carbohidrato de interés cuando se cultivan en un medio de cultivo que contiene una materia prima de monosacárido mixto a manera de fuente principal de carbono y energía. También se describe un método fermentativo para producir un carbohidrato de interés mediante el cultivo de dicha célula microbiana genéticamente modificada en presencia de una materia prima de monosacárido mixto a manera de fuente principal de carbono y energía.
