Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a organismos genéticamente diseñados, especialmente microorganismos tales como bacterias y levaduras, para la producción de bioproductos de valor agregado tal como sacárido especializado, sacárido activado, nucleósido, glicósido, glicolípido o glicoproteína. Más específicamente, la presente invención se refiere a células hospederas que se diseñan metabólicamente de modo que puedan producir los productos especializados valiosos en grandes cantidades y en una tasa alta al evitar los problemas técnicos clásicos que se presentan en los procesos de producción biocatalíticos o fermentativos.
