Abstract

Un método para aumentar la resistencia de fusión y/o la baja viscosidad de cizalla de una resina de polietileno, en donde el método comprende: a) proporcionar una primera resina de polietileno que tiene una densidad que varía de 0.900 g/cm3 a 0.970 g/cm3, un índice de fusión que varía de 0.01 g/10 min a 30 g/10 min, y al menos 0.20 grupos vinilo por 1000 carbonos totales; b) proporcionar una composición madre que comprende un generador de radicales libres y una segunda resina de polietileno, en donde el generador de radicales libres tiene una semivida a 220°C de menos de 200 segundos, y una energía de descomposición de más de -250 kJ/mol, y en donde la segunda resina de polietileno tiene una densidad que varía de 0.900 g/cm3 a 0.970 g/cm3, un índice de fusión que varía de 0.01 g/10 min a 100 g/10 min; y c) hacer reaccionar la primera resina de polietileno con la composición madre para formar una resina de polietileno modificada.
