Abstract

trata-se de um método para aumentar a resistibilidade de fusão e/ou baixa viscosidade de cisalhamento de uma resina de polietileno, sendo que o método compreende: a) fornecer uma primeira resina de polietileno que tem uma densidade na faixa de 0,900 g/cm3 a 0,970 g/cm3, um índice de fusão na faixa de 0,01 g/10 min a 30 g/10 min, e pelo menos 0,20 grupo vinila por 1.000 carbonos totais; b) fornecer uma composição de lote principal que compreende um gerador de radical livre e uma segunda resina de polietileno, em que o gerador de radical livre tem uma meia vida a 220 °c menor que 200 segundos, e uma energia de decomposição maior que -250 kj/mol, e em que a segunda resina de polietileno tem uma densidade na faixa de 0,900 g/cm3 a 0,970 g/cm3, índice de fusão na faixa de 0,01 g/10 min a 100 g/10 min; e c) reagir a primeira resina de polietileno com a composição de lote principal para formar uma resina de polietileno modificada.
