Abstract
Un método para aumentar la resistencia de fusión y/o la baja viscosidad de cizalla de una resina de polietileno, en donde el método comprende: a) proporcionar una primera resina de polietileno que tiene una densidad que varía de 0,900 g/cm³ a 0,970 g/cm³, un índice de fusión que varía de 0,01 g/10 min. a 30 g/10 min., y al menos 0,20 grupos vinilo por 1000 carbonos totales; b) proporcionar una composición madre que comprende un generador de radicales libres y una segunda resina de polietileno, en donde el generador de radicales libres tiene una semivida a 220ºC de menos de 200 segundos, y una energía de descomposición de más de -250 kJ/mol, y en donde la segunda resina de polietileno tiene una densidad que varía de 0,900 g/cm³ a 0,970 g/cm³, un índice de fusión que varía de 0,01 g/10 min. a 100 g/10 min.; y c) hacer reaccionar la primera resina de polietileno con la composición madre para formar una resina de polietileno modificada.
