Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un proceso para producir un derivado de celulosa soluble en agua de un contenido reducido de partículas insolubles en agua que comprende las etapas de a) hacer reaccionar la celulosa con un material alcalino para producir celulosa alcalina, b) hacer reaccionar la celulosa alcalina producida con uno o más agentes de derivación para producir un derivado de celulosa soluble en agua, c) lavar el derivado de celulosa producido con un líquido acuoso una vez o varias veces para proporcionar un derivado de celulosa húmedo que tiene un contenido de agua de 25 a 85 por ciento, con base en el peso total del derivado de celulosa húmedo, d) someter el derivado de celulosa húmedo a homogenización para formar el derivado de celulosa húmedo en una pasta, y e) prensar la pasta a través de un filtro de un tamaño de poro de hasta 200 µm.
