Abstract
Un método para eliminar SOx de un gas mediante el uso de una solución de polietilenglicol modificado para absorber el SOx en el gas. La solución de polietilenglicol modificado entra en contacto con el gas que contiene SOx para absorber el SOx que está en el gas, en donde x = 2 y/o 3, el polietilenglicol modificado es un producto obtenido de grupos hidroxilo eterificantes en las moléculas de etilenglicol y/o polietilenglicol y tiene una fórmula general: R1-(O-C2H4) n-O-R2, en donde n es un entero positivo, R1 y R2 son iguales o distintos y cada uno independientemente es alquilo, alquenilo, alquinilo, acilo o arilo.
