Abstract
Se proporciona un método para eliminar SOx de un gas mediante el uso de una solución compuesta de poliol. La solución compuesta de poliol se elabora mezclando un poliol con un ácido orgánico y/o una sal de ácido orgánico, la solución compuesta de poliol se pone en contacto con el gas que contiene SOx para absorber el SOx en el gas, caracterizado porque x = 2 y/o 3; y el poliol se refiere a un compuesto orgánico distinto de etilenglicol y polietilenglicol, el cual contiene simultáneamente dos o más de dos grupos hidroxilo en una misma molécula orgánica.
