Abstract
La presente invención se relaciona con un microorganismo recombinante que comprende las secuencias de nucleótidos que codifican: un polipéptido que tiene actividad de ent-copalil pirofosfato sintasa; un polipéptido que tiene actividad de ent-Kaureno sintasa; un polipéptido que tiene actividad de ent-Kaureno oxidasa; y un polipéptido que tiene actividad de ácido kaurenoico 13-hidroxilasa, un polipéptido capaz de catalizar la adición de una glucosa en la posición C-13 de esteviol, un polipéptido capaz de catalizar la adición de una glucosa en la posición C-13 de esteviolmonósido o en la posición C-19 de rebaudiósido A, un polipéptido capaz de catalizar la adición de una glucosa en la posición C-19 de esteviolbiósido; y un polipéptido capaz de catalizar la adición de una glucosa en la posición C-13 de esteviósido o en la posición C-19 de rebaudiósido D, mediante el cual la expresión de las secuencia de nucleótidos confieren en el microorganismo la capacidad para producir al menos rebaudiósido M. Tal microorganismo recombinante se puede utilizar en un método de producción de rebaudiósido M.
