Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un método para la producción de un diterpeno o un diterpeno glicosilado, método que comprende: a. fermentar un microorganismo recombinante en un medio de fermentación apropiado, en donde el microorganismo comprende una o más secuencia(s) de nucleótidos de codificación: un polipéptido que tiene actividad de ent-kaureno sintasa; un polipéptido que tiene actividad de ent-kaureno oxidasa; y un polipéptido que tiene actividad de ácido kaurenoico 13-hidroxilasa y por lo cual la expresión de la(s) secuencia(s) de nucleótidos confiere en el microorganismo la capacidad de producir al menos esteviol, mediante el cual un diterpeno o diterpeno glicosilado se produce extracelularmente en el medio de fermentación; y b. recuperar el diterpeno o diterpeno glicosilado del medio de fermentación.
