Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un proceso mejorado de polimerización en solución en donde se reduce el consumo de energía que comprende: i) inyectar etileno, solvente, catalizador, a-olefinas e hidrógeno en al menos un reactor para producir un polietileno en una solución en fase líquida única; ii) desactivar la solución de fase líquida única; iii) pasar la solución desactivada en un separador de vapor/líquido formando una corriente de fondo de solvente rico en polietileno y una corriente de cabeza gaseosa; iv) pasar no más de 40% de la corriente de cabeza gaseosa a destilación; v) condensar el resto de la corriente de cabeza gaseosa para formar una corriente de reciclaje, mientras se genera vapor de baja presión; vi) pasar la corriente de reciclaje a través de un medio para la remoción del oligómero; vii) pasar la corriente de reciclaje a través de un separador de componentes ligeros; viii) pasar la corriente de reciclaje a través de una etapa de purificación; ix) recolectar la corriente de reciclaje en un tambor de reciclaje, pasar la corriente de reciclaje a través de una bomba, e inyectar una corriente de reciclaje de alta presión en tales reactores.
