Abstract
La presente invención se relaciona con un proceso de producción de polietileno, que comprende poner en contacto el etileno y un catalizador de polimerización bajo condiciones de reacción apropiadas, para producir una corriente de producto de polimerización, separar una corriente de gas ligero de la corriente de producto de polimerización, en donde la corriente de gas ligero comprende etano y etileno sin reaccionar, poner en contacto la corriente de gas ligero con un sistema de solvente de absorción, en donde por lo menos una porción del etileno de la corriente de gas ligero se absorbe por el sistema de solvente de absorción, remover los gases no absorbidos de la corriente de gas ligero del contacto con el sistema de solvente de absorción para formar una corriente de gas residual y recuperar el etileno del sistema de solvente de absorción.
