Abstract

Los presentes inventores han desarrollado una composición de resma termoplástica pirorretardante que comprende 100 partes en peso de resma de copolímero de vinilo aromático modificado con hule (A) y de aproximadamente 10 partes en peso a aproximadamente 30 partes en peso de una mezcla de difeniletano brominado (B) que incluye de aproximadamente 55% en peso a aproximadamente 85% en peso de hexabromodifeniletano. La resma de copolímero de vinilo aromático modificado con hule (A) de conformidad con la presente invención es una resma polimérica en donde polímeros que contienen hule injertados están dispersos en forma de partículas en la matriz de copolímero de vinilo. La resma de copolímero de vinilo aromático modificado con hule (A) incluye polímeros que contienen hule injertados en una cantidad de aproximadamente 10% en peso a aproximadamente 100% en peso y la matriz de copolímero de vinilo en una cantidad de aproximadamente 0% en peso a aproximadamente 90% en peso.
