Abstract
Un proceso para reducir el contenido y volumen de materia orgánica en una corriente de aguas residuales que comprende poner en contacto ésta última con un dispositivo de nanofiltración a fin de obtener un concentrado, y un permeado como una corriente acuosa que contiene cualesquiera sales de iones metálicos no precipitables que pueden estar presente, poner en contacto después el concentrado con un dispositivo de ultrafiltración preferiblemente retrodescargable, y de manera opcional también con carbón activado. Este proceso puede ser parte de uno más amplio el cual remueve también otros componentes desde la corriente de aguas residuales. Un módulo que comprende (a) un dispositivo de nanofiltración; (b) un dispositivo de ultrafiltración hacia preferiblemente retrodescargable; (c) conducto(s) adaptado(s) para transportar el concentrado del dispositivo de nanofiltración hacia el dispositivo de ultrafiltración; y de manera opcional (d) un recipiente que contiene carbón activado; así como un sistema para tratar una corriente de aguas residuales que incluye este módulo, también forma parte de la invención.
