Abstract

Un embalaje exhibidor para un producto para el consumidor se hace de dos hojas de carton corrugado y un contenedor de plastico transparente con una porcion de insercion plana intercalada entre las hojas de carton. Las dos hojas de carton se adhieren entre si en un area periferica del empaque mediante un adhesivo termo-sensible, y las corrugaciones de las hojas de carton se comprimen y aplanan en el area periferica. Para sellar el embalaje, el area periferica de las dos hojas de carton se somete a presion suficiente para comprimir las corrugaciones dentro de las hojas de carton y aplanarlas en esa area. Se aplica calor al lado exterior de las hojas de carton en el area periferica y se conduce hacia el material adhesivo, entre las dos hojas para activar el material adhesivo. Puede utilizarse una maquina selladora con una prensa de sellado termico o conjuntos paralelos de rodillos calientes para llevar a cabo el proceso de sellado.
