Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un procedimiento para el hidrotratamiento de un aceite de hidrocarburo pesado que contiene asfaltenos y metales pesados, caracterizado por los pasos de a) hacer reaccionar el aceite de hidrocarburo pesado con hidrógeno a una temperatura de entre 350 y 450 grados C, una presión de entre 30 y 250 kg/cm cuadrado manometricos y una velocidad espacial de líquido de entre 0.1 y 10 horas -1, con una relación de hidrógeno a aceite de entre 100 y 2000 N1/1, en presencia de un catalizador que comprende un portador que es un cuerpo mixto calcinado de una mezcla de un mineral de arcilla que consiste principalmente de silicato de magnesio que tiene una estructura de doble cadena y una pseudoboehmita que muestra un espectro de difracción de rayos-X de polvo obtenido aplicando un rayo de CuKa tal, que la anchura del valor medio del máximo sobre el plano (020), es de entre aproximadamente 0.8 y 4.0 grados C y la intensidad de dicho máximo es de entre 1.2 y 8.0 veces más que a 20 10 grados; y por lo menos un componnte metálico catalítico en forma de cuerpo mixto con dicho portador, el metal que consiste de los metales que pertenecen a los grupos VB, VIB, VIII y IB de la tabla periódica, la proporción de la boehmita en dicho catalizador siendo tal que la cantidad de componentes de aluminio formada de dicha pseudoboehmita es de entre 10 y 80 por ciento en terminos de A1203, con base en el peso total del catalizador; y la proporción de dicho componente metálico catalítico siendo tal que la cantidad del elemento metálico producido por dicho componente catalítico es de entre aproximadamente 0.1 y aproximada mente 20 por ciento, con base en el peso total del catalizador y b) refinar el producto crudo así obtenido.
