Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a procedimiento para la producción de hidrógeno por reformación catalítica del vapor de metanol, en el cual se hace reacción agua con metanol en una zona de reacción, al contacto con un catalizador de conversión de metanol en hidrógeno, bajo presión relativamente elevada, despues se pone en contacto el afluente de la zona de reacción con un agente de absorción bajo presión relativamente elevada, de manera que absorban los subproductos, entre ellos incluido el dióxido de carbono, y que se libere un gas rico en hidrógeno, en el cual se desadsorbe periódicamente, bajo presión relativamente baja, los subproductos que fuerón adsorbidos, y finalmente se recicla a la zona de reacción una xorriente de gas desadsorbido que contiene al menos una parte de los dichos subproductos, procedimiento caracterizado porque el gas reciclado se somete a una recompresión, despues a un tratamiento de retiro o eliminación de por lo menos una porción del dióxido de carbono, bajo presión relativamente elevada, antes re re-enviarlo a la zona de reacción.
