Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un procedimiento para la preparación del enantiómero R del ácido 2-hidroxi-4-fenilbutírico de la fórmula: (fórmula) (I) o del enantiómero S del ácido 2-hidroxi-4-fenilbutírico de la fórmula: (fórmula) (II) el procedimiento está caracterizado porque comprende reducir el ácido 2-oxo-2-fenilbutírico con la enzima D-lactato deshidrogenasa (D-LDH) de Staphylococcus epidermisdis en la enzima Llactato deshidrogenasa (L-LDH) de corazón bovino, respectivamente, en presencia de un donador de electrones y un sistema enzima/sustrato para la regeneración del donador de electrones.
