Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un intercambiador de calor de dos fases para un refrigerante en un sistema de enfriamiento, intercambiador que se caracteriza porque comprende; un par de cabezales alargados, generalmente paralelos y espaciados, un porta de vapor en uno de los cabezales, un porta de condensado en otro de los cabezales; dichos cabezales teniendo cada uno una serie de ranuras generalmente paralelas, alargadas, con las ranuras en la serie de un cabezal alineados con y enfretando las ranuras en la serie del otro cabeza, una hilera de tubos definida por una pluralidad de tubos rectos de sección transversal plana, con paredes laterales planas y teniendo extremos opuestos en paralelo entre dichos cabezales, los extremos de los tubos de sección transversal plana se disponen en una de las ranuras alineadas correspondientes y en comunicación de fluido con los interiores de los cabezales, al menos algunos de dichos tubos están en paralelo hidráulico entre ellos; medios de alma dentro de dichos de sección transversal plana, que se extienden entre y se unen a las paredes laterales planas en intervalos espaciados para (a) definir una pluralidad de trayectorias de flujo paralelas hidráulicas dentro de cada tubo sección transversal plana; (b)absorber fuerzas que resultan de la presión interna dentro de dicho intercambiador de calor y que tienden a expander a los tubos de sección transversal plana y (c) conducir calor entre los tubos planos y el refrigerante en dichas trayetorias de flujo, dichas trayectorias de flujo siendo de un diámetro hidráulico relativamente pequeño definido como el área de la sección transversal de la trayectoria de flujo correspondiente multiplicada por cuatro y dividida entr el parámetro mojado de la trayectoria de flujo correspondiente; y aletas que se extienden entre las paredes laterales planas enfrentadas de los tubos de sección transversal plana adyacentes.
