Abstract

Claims (20)

  1. 공단량체 50중량%미만, 말레산 무수물 0.35중량% 이상, 유리 라디칼 개시제 0.05중량% 이상, 및 m-디-이소프로필벤젠 0.05중량% 이상을 함유하는 폴리에틸렌 단독중합체 또는 공중합체를 2보다 큰산가로 말리에이트화하기에 충분한 시간동안 용융상 중에서 혼합하여 말리에이트화 폴리에틸렌을 제조하는 것을 포함하는, 말리에이트화 폴리에틸렌 왁스를 제조하는 방법.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 용융상이 110 내지 220℃인 방법.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 폴리에틸렌 단독중합체 또는 공중합체가 150,000미만의 중량평균 분자량을 갖는 방법.
  4. 제3항에 있어서, 상기 말리레이트화 폴리에틸렌이 10,000미만의 출발 분자량을 갖는 방법.
  5. 제1항에 있어서, 반응물을 용융상 혼합물내로 연속적으로 도입시키고, 말리에이트화 폴리에틸렌을 연속적으로 제거하는 연속식 방법인 방법.
  6. 제5항에 있어서, 축 압출기 내의 용융상 중에서 수행하고, 상기 유기 라디칼 개시제 및 m-디-이소프로필벤젠을 미리 혼합한 다음, 용융 폴리에틸렌과 말레산 무수물에 첨가하는 방법.
  7. 제5항에 있어서, 반응기의 한쪽 끝에서 반응물을 도입시키고, 반응기의 다른쪽 끝으로부터 생성물을 제거하는 교반 연속 반응기내에서 수행하고, 상기 반응기 내의 모든 반응물의 체류시간이 10분 보다 긴 방법.
  8. 제1항에 있어서, 말레산 무수물이 1.8중량% 이상의 농도로 존재하는 방법.
  9. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 유기 라디칼 개시제가 디-t-부틸퍼옥사이드, 디-(t-부틸퍼옥시이소프로필)벤젠, 2, 5-디메틸-2, 5-디-(t-부틸퍼옥시)-3-헥센, 벤조일 퍼옥사이드 및 2, 5-디메틸-2, 5-디(t-부틸퍼옥시)헥산으로 구성된 그룹에서 선택된 과산화물인 방법.
  10. 제9항에 있어서, 용융상 혼합물 중의 상기 과산화물의 농도가 0.3중량% 이상인 방법.
  11. 제1항에 있어서, m-디-이소프로필벤젠이 유리 라디칼 개시제와 m-디-이소프로필벤젠의 총량을 기준으로 5 내지 95중량%의 농도로 존재하는 방법.
  12. 제1항에 있어서, 말레산 무수물 대 유리 라디칼 개시제의 몰비가 2 내지 50인 방법.
  13. 제1항에 있어서, 불활성 스트림을 용융 말리에이트화 폴리에틸렌 생성물 혼합물 상으로 또는 이를 통하여 통과시킴으로써, 말리에이트화 폴리에틸렌 생성물로부터 휘발성 물질을 제거하는 것을 추가로 포함하는 방법.
  14. 제1항에 있어서, 말리에이트화 폴리에틸렌을 냉각시켜 고체 입자를 생성시키는 것을 추가로 포함하는 방법.
  15. (a) 산가 7이상이고, 본질적으로 불쾌한 냄새가 없으며, 가드너 색도가 3미만인, 낮은 용융점도의 말리에이트화 폴리에틸렌 왁스 10 내지 30중량%, (b) 계면활성제 미량 내지 15중량%, 및 (c) 물 60 내지 90중량%를 포함하는 유화액 조성물.
  16. 제15항에 있어서, 중성 또는 염기성 pH를 갖는 조성물.
  17. 제15항에 있어서, 말리에이트화 폴리에틸렌 왁스가 20 내지 27중량%의 농도인 조성물.
  18. 제15항에 있어서, 상기 계면활성제의 사용량이 5 내지 10중량%인 조성물.
  19. 제15항에 있어서, 상기 물의 사용량이 73 내지 80중량%인 조성물.
  20. 제15항에 있어서, 하나 이상의 표백제를 추가로 포함하는 조성물.
