본 발명은 구조화된 복합물 안료물질의 제조방법에 관한 것이다.
2. 발명이 해결하려고 하는 기술적 과제
종래의 구조화된 복합안료물질은 무기안료 및 견고한 중합체 비드로부터 제조될 때, 이들을 함유하는 코팅 조성물이 보통 예상보다 더 나쁜 광택을 나타낸다는 것을 발견하였다. 이는 광택 또는 반-광택 페인트를 포뮬레이트할 경우 불리한다.
본 발명의 목적은 다소 공진된 구조화된 복합물질과 관련된 광택을 감소시키지 않고도 종래의 조성물에 비하여 향상된 불투명성을 갖는 코팅 조성물을 포뮬레이트하는데 사용될 수 있는 구조화된 복합물 안료성 물질을 제공하는데 있다.
3. 발명의 해결방법의 요지
분산물의 형태로서 구조화된 복합안료물질을 제조하는 방법은 무기성 안료입자의 수성 분산물 및 폴리비닐 클로라이드(PVC) 입자의 수성분산물을 혼합하는 공정을 포함한다. 무기성 안료입자의 표면은 양저하를 수반하며, PVC 입자의 표면은 음전하를 수반하며, 복합물내의 입자는 이들 전하의 결과로서 결합되어 있다. 무기성 안료입자 및 PVC 입자는 음이온성 및 원자의 입체적 배치에 관한 안정화 모두를 제공하는 계면활성제계의 존재하에서 혼합된다. 한 구체예에 있어서, 계면활성제계는 12 이상의 HLB 값을 갖는 비이온성 계면활성제 및 PVC 입자의 중량에 대하여 적어도 2중량%의 음이온성 계면활성제를 함유한다. 제2구체예에 있어서, 계면활성제계는 음이온성 및 입체적 배치에 관한 안정화를 제공하며 적어도 8개의 옥시에틸렌 단위의 평균 길이를 지닌 폴리옥시에틸렌 사슬을 갖는 에틸렌 옥사이드 축합 생성물인 1종 이상의 계면활성제계를 적어도 2중량%(PVC에 대하여) 함유한다.

Claims (20)

  1. 안료입자의 표면이 양전하를 수반하는 미립자 무기안료를 함유하는 제1수성 분산물을 형성하는 공정과, 중합체성 물질입자 표면이 음전하를 수반하는 미립자 중합체성 물질의 제2수성 분산물을 형성하는 공정, 및 미립자 물질들중 하나에서 표면전하의 부호가 역전되지 않게 하는 혼합조건하에서 상기 제1수성 분산물 및 상기 제2수성 분산물을 혼합시키는 공정을 포함하는 구조화된 복합안료물질의 제조방법에 있어서, 상기 중합체 물질은 폴리비닐 클로라이드이며, 혼합공정은 적어도 1종의 음이온성 계면활성제 및 적어도 1종의 비이온성 계면활성제의 존재하에서 수행되며, 음이온성 계면활성제는 12 이상의 친수성-친유성 밸런스를 갖는 폴리비닐 클로라이드 입자 및 비이온성 계면활성제의 중량에 대하여 2중량% 이상의 량으로 함유되는 것을 특징으로 하는 구조화된 복합안료물질의 제조방법.
  2. 안료입자의 표면이 양전하를 수반하는 미립자 무기안료를 함유하는 제1수성 분산물을 형성하는 공정과, 중합체성 물질입자 표면이 음전하를 수반하는 미립자 중합체성 물질의 제2수성 분산물을 형성하는 공정, 및 미립자 물질들중 하나에서 표면전하의 부호가 역전되지 않게 하는 혼합조건하에서 상기 제1수성 분산물 및 상기 제2수성 분산물을 혼합시키는 공정을 포함하는 구조화된 복합안료물질의 제조방법에 있어서, 상기 중합체 물질은 폴리비닐 클로라이드이며, 상기 혼합공정은 1종 이상의 계면활성제의 존재하에서 수행되며, 상기 1종이상의 계면활성제늘 폴리비닐 클로라이드 입자의 중량에 대하여 2중량% 이상의 량으로 존재되며, 상기 1종이상의 계면활성제는 적어도 8개의 옥시에틸렌 단위의 평균길이를 지닌 폴리옥시에틸렌 사슬을 갖는 에틸렌 옥사이드 축합 생성물의 유도체인 것을 특징으로 하는 구조화된 복합안료물질의 제조방법.
  3. 제1 또는 2항에 있어서, 무기성 안료는 평균 결정크기가 0.2~0.3마이크로미터인 금홍석 티타늄 디옥사이드인 것을 특징으로 하는 구조화된 복합안료물질의 제조방법.
  4. 제1 또는 2항에 있어서, 무기성 안료는 평균 결정크기가 0.1~0.35마이크로미터인 아나타제 티타늄 디옥사이드인 것을 특징으로 하는 구조화된 복합안료물질의 제조방법.
  5. 제1 또는 2항에 있어서, 무기성 안료는 실리카, 알루미나, 지르코니아 및 포스페이트로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 무기성 화합물로 입자가 코팅된 티타늄 디옥사이드인 것을 특징으로 하는 구조화된 복합안료물질의 제조방법.
  6. 제1 또는 2항에 있어서, 폴리비닐 클로라이드 입자는 0.02~0.5마이크로미터 범위의 평균 입자크기를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 구조화된 복합안료물질의 제조방법.
  7. 제1 또는 2항에 있어서, 무기성 안료입자 및 폴리비닐 클로라이드 입자는 0.3:1~3.0:1 범위의 폴리비닐 클로라이드 입자 대 안료입자의 부피비로 함유되는 것을 특징으로 하는 구조화된 복합안료물질의 제조방법.
  8. 제1 또는 2항에 있어서, 제1수성 분산물 및 제2수성분산물은 각각 적어도 20중량%의 고형물을 함유하는 것을 특징으로 하는 구조화된 복합안료물질의 제조방법.
  9. 제1항에 있어서, 음이온성 계면활성제는 도데실 벤젠 술폰산 나트륨 및 트리데실 벤젠 술폰산 나트륨으로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 것을 특징으로 하는 구조화된 복합안료물질의 제조방법.

  16. 제1 또는 2항에 있어서, 무기성 안료입자는 알루미나로 코팅된 티타늄 디옥사이드의 입자이며, 티타늄 디옥사이드는 pH 6 이하에서 분산되는 것을 특징으로 하는 구조화된 복합안료물질의 제조방법.
  17. 제1 또는 2항에 있어서, 무기성 안료입자는 실리카를 함유한 코팅제로 코팅된 티타늄 디옥사이드의 입자이며, 티타늄 디옥사이드는 pH 2 이하에서 분산되는 것을 특징으로 하는 구조화된 복합안료물질의 제조방법.
  18. 제1 또는 2항에 있어서, 제1수성 분산물 및 제2수성 분산물은 1 pH 단위 이하의 차이가 나는 pH 값을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 구조화된 복합안료물질의 제조방법.
  19. 제1 또는 2항에 있어서, 제1수성 분산물 및 제2수성 분산물은 실질적으로 다른 pH 값을 가지며, 산 또는 염기가 혼합공정중에 첨가되는 것을 특징으로 하는 구조화된 복합안료물질의 제조방법.
  20. 제1 또는 2항에 있어서, 구조화된 복합연료물질은 pH 6 이하에서 제조되며, 생성물의 분산물의 pH 값은 pH 6~10의 범위로 조정되는 것을 특징으로 하는 구조화된 복합안료물질의 제조방법.
