Claims (31)

  1. 흐림점보다 10℃ 아래의 온도에서 측정한 왁스 함량의 2.5중량% 이상인 오일의 저온 성질을 개선시키기 위한, 에틸렌으로부터 유도된 단위체에 더하여 하기 일반식(I)의 단위체를 갖는 유용성 에틸렌 공중합체의 용도:
    -CH2CROOCR1- 또는 -CH2CROOR1- (I)
    상기식에서, R은 H 또는 CH3를 나타내고; R1은 2개 이상의 탄소원자를 갖는 하이드로카빌 그룹이다.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, R1이 알킬 그룹인 용도.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 알킬 그룹이 선형인 용도.
  4. 제1항 내지 제3항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, R1이 3 내지 9개의 탄소원자를 포함하는 용도.
  5. 제1항 내지 제4항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, R이 H인 용도.
  6. 제1항 내지 제5항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 중합체가 14,000 이하의 수 평균 분자량(Mn)을 갖고, 일반식(I)의 단위체가 중합체의 35몰%이하인 용도.
  7. 제6항에 있어서, Mn이 2,000 내지 5,500의 범위인 용도.
  8. 제6항 또는 제7항에 있어서, 일반식(I)의 단위체가 중합체의 11 내지 16몰%인 용도.
  9. 제1항 내지 제5항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 중합체가 20,000이하의 수 평균 분자량을 갖고, 일반식(I)의 단위체가 중합체의 10몰%이하인 용도.
  10. 제9항에 있어서, Mn이 3,000 내지 10,000의 범위인 용도.
  11. 제9항 또는 제10항에 있어서, 일반식(I)의 단위체가 중합체의 1.0 내지 7.5몰%인 용도.
  12. 제1항 내지 제11항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 중합체가 에틸렌-비닐 에스테르 공중합체의 비누화 및 재-에스테르화에 의해 제조되는 용도.
  13. 제1항 내지 제11항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 중합체가 에틸렌-비닐 아세테이트 공중합체의 비누화 및 재-에스테르화에 의해 제조되는 용도.
  14. 제1항 내지 제13항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 오일이 중간 증류 연료유인 용도.
  15. 제1항 내지 제14항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 오일의 2.9% 이상의 왁스 함량을 갖는 용도.
  16. 제1항 내지 제15항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 빗형 중합체를 또한 사용하는 용도.
  17. 제16항에 있어서, 상기 빗형 중합체가 하기 일반식을 갖는 용도:
    상기식에서, D는 R, COOR11, OCOR, R12COOR11, 또는 OR11이고; E는 H, CH3, D 또는 R12이고; G는 H 또는 D이고; J는 H, R12, R12OCOR11이거나, 아릴 또는 헤테로사이클 그룹이고; K 는 H, OCOR12, COOR12, OR12또는 COOH이고; L은 H, R12, COOR12, OCOR12, COOH 또는 아릴이고; R11은 C10이상의 하이드로카빌이고; R12는 C1이상의 하이드로카빌이고; m 및 n은 몰비를 나타내고, m은 1.0 내지 0.4의 범위내에 속하고, n은 0 내지 0.6의 범위내에 속한다.
  18. 제16항 또는 제17항에 있어서, 상기 빗형 중합체가 비닐 아세테이트 및 푸마레이트 에스테르의 공중합체인 용도.
  19. 제18항에 있어서, 상기 푸마레이트 에스테르 그룹이 12 내지 20개의 탄소원자를 갖는 알킬 그룹인 용도.
  20. 제19항에 있어서, 상기 에스테르 그룹이 14개의 탄소원자를 갖는 알콜 또는 14개 및 16개 탄소원자를 갖는 알콜의 혼합물로부터 유도되는 용도.
  21. 제1항 내지 제15항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 두개 이상의 상이한 빗형 혼합체의 혼합물이 사용되는 용도.
  22. 제16항에 있어서, 상기 혼합물이 (i)C14푸마레이트 에스테르-비닐 아세테이트 공중합체 및 ii)C14/C16푸마레이트 에스테르-비닐 아세테이트 공중합체를 포함하는 용도.
  23. 제1항 내지 제22항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 극성 질소 화합물이 또한 사용되는 용도.
  24. 제1항에 있어서, 실질적으로 본원의 실시예들중 임의의 실시예에 기술된 바와 같은 용도.
  25. 흐림점보다 10℃ 아래의 온도에서 측정한 왁스 함량이 2.5% 이상인 오일, 및 에틸렌으로부터 유도된 단위체에 더하여 제1항에서 정의된 일반식(I)의 단위체를 갖는 소량의 에틸렌 공중합체를 포함하는 조성물.
  26. 제25항에 있어서, 오일의 중량을 기준으로 전체 비율이 0.005 내지 1%인 첨가제 조성물을 포함하는 조성물.
  27. 제25항에 있어서, 오일의 중량을 기준으로 전체 비율이 0.001 내지 0.1%인 첨가제를 포함하는 조성물.
  28. 제25항에 있어서, 오일의 중량을 기준으로 전체 비율이 0.004 내지 0.06%인 첨가제를 포함하는 조성물.
  29. 제2항 내지 제23항중 어느 한 항에 정의된 바와 같은 첨가제를 포함하는 제25항 내지 제28항중 어느 한 항에 따른 조성물.
  30. 제25항에 있어서, 실질적으로 본 명세서의 실시예중의 임의의 한 실시예에 기술된 바와 같은 조성물.
  31. 본 명세서에 기술된 임의의 신규한 특성 또는 본 원에 기술된 특성들의 임의의 신규한 조합.
