Abstract

본 발명은 외부적으로 가열되며 촉매가 존재하지 않는 가열표면 대 체적비 3㎝-1이상의 반응영역을 통해 실질적으로 스팀을 함유하지 않는 탄화수소 공급재료를 본질적으로 충류로 유동하도록 하는 유량으로 통과시키는 것으로 구성되는 탄화수소의 분해 방법에 관한다.

Claims (10)

  1. 외부적으로 가열되며 촉매가 존재하지 않는 가열표면 대 체적비 3㎝-1이상의 반응영역을 통해 실질적으로 스팀을 함유하지 않는 탄화수소 공급재료를 본질적으로 충류로 유동하도록 하는 유량으로 통과시키는 것으로 구성되는 탄화수소의 분해 방법.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 반응 영역을 통해 통과하는 반응물 스트림이 희석재로서 수소 또는 메탄올 함유하는 방법.
  3. 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 분해되는 개스에 노출되는 반응 영역의 표면이 반응 온도에서 탄화수소의 반응에 대한 촉매적 활성을 본질적으로 나타내지 않는 방법.
  4. 제3항에 있어서, 분해되는 개스에 노출되는 반응 영역의 표면이 실리카, 실리콘 카바이드 또는 구리로 제조되거나, 이들의 무공성(non-porous) 코팅을 갖는 방법.
  5. 제1항 내지 제4중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 얇은 벽에 의해 반응영역과 분리된 가열 영역을 통해 가열매질을 통과시킴으로서 가열영역을 가열하는 방법.
  6. 제5항에 있어서, 가열 영역이 표면상에 연소 촉매의 코팅을 지니며, 열의 최소한 일부가 가열 영역내에서의 연소에 의해 발생되도록 연료/공기 혼합물이 가열 영역을 통해 통과하는 방법.
  7. 제1항 내지 제6항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 복수개의 반응 영역이 병렬로 제공되는 방법.
  8. 제7항에 있어서, 반응 및 가열 영역이 스페이서에 의해 이격된 복수개의 판 어셈블리의 인접한 판들사이의 공간에 의해 교대로 제공되는 방법.
  9. 제8항에 있어서, 판, 즉 반응 및 가열 영역이 직사각형이며, 반응 스트림 및 가열 매질의 주입구 및 유출구가 각각의 영역에서 대각선으로 마주보는 코너에 위치하고, 주입구는 직사각형의 짧은 변중 하나의 인접한 코너에 위치하는 방법.
  10. 제8항 또는 제9항에 있어서, 어셈블리가 주입 및 유출 덕트와 함께 클램프된 후 반응 압력이상의 압력으로 개스 충전된 용기내에 놓이는 방법.
