Abstract

본 발명은 다층 전계발광소자에 관한 것으로, 종래 다층 전계발광소자는 형광층을 ZnC층과 SrS층을 번갈아 증착하여 형성하는데, 이 두 물질은 상기 SrS층이 약 1.13Å,ZnS층이 약0.74Å의 이온반경을 갖는다. 따라서 두 층을 적층하는 경우 정합계면을 얻기 힘들어 적층이 완료되면, 계면에서 스트레스(stress)와 필링(peeling)현상이 발생하여 소자가 파괴되는 문제점이 있고, 또한 ZnC층은 500℃에서 증착이 이루어지므로 두 층간에 온도의 상승과 하강에 따른 서멀 스트레스(thetmalstress)가 필링(peeling)현상에 큰 요인으로 작용하는 문제점이 있었다. 본 발명은 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 다층구조의 형공층을 형성할 시 SrS층과 이온반경차이가 적은 CaS층을 번갈아 적층하여 소자제작시 계면에서의 필링(peeling)현상을 제거토록 하는 다층 전계발광소자를 창안한 것이다.

Claims (3)

  1. 기판위에 투명전극, 제1절연막, 형광층, 제2절연막, 상부전극을 차례로 적층하여 구성한 전계발광소자에 있어서, 상기 형광층을 CaS층과 SrS층을 번갈아 적층하여 구성한 것을 특징으로 하는 다층 전계발광소자.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, CaS층은 제1절연막, 제2절연막과 접하게 구성한 것을 특징으로 하는 다층 전계발광소자.
