Abstract

전자식 카드(10)는 내부 회로를 포함하는 하우징(12)를 갖는다. 카드의 표면(14)에는 내부회로의 접속되는 콘택패드(26,28)가 있다. 콘택패드는 이동가능한 차폐물(32)에 의해 덮혀진다. 인쇄회로기판(52)상에 장착된 전기 커넥터 조립체(50)는 인쇄회로기판 상의 콘택패드(54)와 접촉하는 콘택부재(62,64)를 가진 베이스부재(56)를 포함한다. 커넥터 조립체는 베이스부재(56)상에 장착되는 피봇가능한 속이 빈 케이싱(66)을 더 포함한다. 전자식 카드(10)는 케이싱(66)내에 삽입되는데, 차폐물(32)을 이동시켜 카드 (10)의 콘택패드(26,28)를 노출시키도록 배치된다. 카드(10)를 보유하는 케이싱(66)은 피봇되어 카드(10)의 콘택패드(26,28)가 콘택부재(62,68)와 맞물린다. 콘택패드와 콘택부재의 맞물림을 유지시키기 위해 래치부재(112)가 제공된다.

전자식 카드 및 그와함께 사용하기 위한 커넥터 조립체

제1도는 본 발명의 원리에 따라 구성된 전자식 카드에서 차폐물이 그 제1위치에 있는 것을 도시한 평면도,
제3도는 본 발명에 따른 전자식 카드 및 커넥터 조립체에서 전자식 카드가 그 작동부분을 노출한 상태를 도시한 사시도,
제4도는 본 발명에 따른 전자식 카드 및 커넥터 조립체에서 전자식 카드가 속이 빈 케이싱내로 삽입되려는 상태를 도시한 측면도,
제5도는 케이싱이 베이스부재 쪽으로 피봇되기 전에 전자식 카드가 속이 빈 케이싱내에 삽입된 상태를 도시한 사시도.

Claims (5)

  1. 하우징내에 들어있는 전자식 카드에서, 하우징은 일반적으로 사각형인 제1 및 제2주표면과, 상기 제1 및 제2주표면과 결합하는 4개이 일반적으로 사각형인 작은 엣지면을 구비하며, 전자식 카드는 직접회로와 다수의 콘택패드를 가지며, 콘택패드는 규정된 영역내의 상기 하우징의 상기 제1주표면을 통해 노출되며, 제1 및 제2위치 사이에서 이동가능한 차폐물이 배치되어, 상기 차폐물이 상기 제1위치에 있을때 상기 규정된 영역은 상기 차폐물에 의해 덮혀지고 상기 차폐물이 상기 제2위치에 있을때 상기 규정된 영역이 노출되도록 되어있는 것을 특징으로 하는 전자식 카드.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 다수의 콘택패드는 제1그룹의 전력 및 접지 패드와 제2그룹의 신호패드를 포함하며, 상기 제1그룹의 전력 및 접지패드는 상기 제2그룹의 신호패드 보다 상기 제1의 작은 엣지면에 근접해 있으며, 상기차폐물의 상기 제1위치는 상기 차폐물의 상기 제2위치 보다 상기 제1의 작은 엣지면에 근접해 있으며, 상기윈도우는 상기 차폐물이 상기 제2위치에 있을때 상기 제2그룹의 신호패드가 상기 윈도우를 통해 노출되도록 상기 차폐물 상에 배치되는 전자식 카드.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 제1그룹의 전력 및 접지 패드는 콘택패드를 갖지않는 상기 제1의 주표면 영역에 의해 상기 제2그룹의 신호패드부터 분리되어 있으며, 상기영역은 상기 차폐물이 상기 제1위치에 있을때 상기 윈도우를 통해 노출되는 전자식 카드.
  4. 표면 어레이 형태의 콘택패드를 가진 인쇄회로기판을 청구범위 제1항 내지 5항중 하나의 전자식 카드와 전기적으로 접속시키기 위한 커넥터 조립체에서, 커넥터 조립체는 다수의 콘택부재가 배치된 베이스부재와 베이스부재에 피봇가능하게 장착되며 피봇축 주위로 회전할 수 있는 속이 빈 케이싱을 포함하며, 속이 빈 케이싱은 일반적으로 사각형인 제1 및 제2주측면과 상기 제1및 제2주측면과 결합하는 일반적으로 사각형인 4개의 작은 엣지측면을 가지며, 케이싱의 내부는 규정된 영역을 포함하는 전자식 카드의 적어도 일부분이 수용될 수 있는 크기이며, 상기 케이싱 작은 엣지면의 하나는 전자식 카드를 수용하기에 충분한 크기의 개구를 가지며, 상기 케이싱의 제1주측면은 전자식 카드가 상기 케이싱 내에 배치될때 상기 하우징의 제1주표면이 상기 케이싱의 제1주측면 개구내에서 짝맞워질 수 있는 크기로 배치되며, 하우징을 케이싱내로 삽입할 때 차폐물은 제1위치로부터 상기 다수의 콘택패드를 노출시키는 제1위치로 이동되며, 케이싱이 베이스부재 쪽으로 피봇되어 사실상 평행하게 됨에 따라 인쇄 회로기판의 콘택패드의 표면어레이는 다수의 콘택패드와 맞물리는 것을 특징으로 하는 커넥터 조립체.
  5. 제4항에 있어서, 상기 다수의 콘택부대는 상기 제1그룹의 전력 및 접지 패드와 대응하는 제1 그룹의 전력 및 접지 콘택부재와 상기 제2그룹의 신호콘택트와 대응하는 제2그룹의 신호콘택부재를 구비하며, 상기 제1그룹의 전력 및 접지패드는 케이싱이 베이스부재 쪽으로 피봇됨에 따라 상기 제2그룹의 신호패드가 상기 제2그룹의 신호콘택부재와 맞물리기 전에 상기 제1그룹의 전력 및 접지 콘택부재와 맞물리는 커넥터 조립체.
