Abstract
지르노키니아 및 지르코니아용 안정화제의 혼합물을 제조하는 방법은 0.2㎜-3㎜의 평균입자 크기를 갖는 미립자 혼합 매개물을 존재하에서 미립자 지르코니아 및 미립자 안정화제의 수성 현탁물을 미드 밀(bead mill)내에서 제분하는 단계를 포함한다. 바람직한 안정화제는 이트리움, 세륨, 칼슘 또는 마그네슘의 산화물이다. 놀랍게도, 이 혼합생성물로부터 제조된 세라믹은 공침전된 분말(coprecipitated powder)로부터 제조된 세라믹보다 100℃ 이상의 물로 인한 감성(degradation)에 대해 저항력이 더 크다.

Claims (15)
- 미립자 지르코니아 및 미립자 안정화제를 함유하는 수성 현탁물을 형성시키고 이 현탁물을 0.2-0.3㎜의 평균입자 크기를 갖는 미립자 혼합 매개물의 존재하에 비드 밀(bead mill)내에서 적어도 2분동안 교반시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 지르코니아 및 상기 지르코니아용 안정화제의 혼합물을 제조하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 미립자 지르코니아는 BET 질소 흡착법에 의해 측정된 바와같이 지르코니아의 특정 표면적이 그램 당 1제곱 미터이상인 그러한 입자크기를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 제조방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 미립자 지르코니아는 증기화된 지르코늄 테트라클로라이드의 증기상 산화반응에 의해 생성되며, 생성된 지르코니아는 BET 질소 흡착법에 의해 측정된 바와같이 그램당 10-20 제곱미터의 특정 표면적을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 제조방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 미립자 안정화제는 BET 질소 흡착법에 의해 측정된 바와같이 안정화제의 특정 표면적이 그램당 1제곱미터 이상인 그러한 입자크기를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 제조방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 현탁물내의 미립자 물질의 평균입자 크기를 감소시키도록 선택된 기간동안 현탁물을 교반하여 안정화제의 90중량% 이상이 상기 기간 종말에 2마이크로미터 이하의 크기를 갖도록 하는 것을 특징으로 하는 제조방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 미립자 혼합 매개물은 0.6㎜-1.2㎜의 평균 입자크기를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 제조방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 미립자 혼합 매개물은 이트리아 스태빌라이즈드 지르코니아(yttria stabilised zirconia)로부터 형성된 세라믹비드인 것을 특징으로 하는 제조방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 현탁물은 5-30분동안 비드 밀내에서 교반되는 것을 특징으로 하는 제조방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 안정화제는 이트리움 옥사이드이며 지르코니아에 대하여 3.5-15중량%의 량으로 존재하는 것을 특징으로 하는 제조방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 안정화제는 세륨 옥사이드이며 지르코니아에 대하여 3-24중량%의 량으로 존재하는 것을 특징으로 하는 제조방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 안정화제는 세륨 옥사이드 또는 마그네슘 옥사이드이며 지르코니아에 대하여 1-8중량%의 량으로 존재하는 것을 특징으로 하는 제조방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 비드 밀은 분당 1000-6000 회전의 속도로 작동되는 것을 특징으로 하는 제조방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 분산제를 수성 현탁물에 첨가하는 것을 특징으로 하는 제조방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 수성 현탁물을 1회 이상 비드 밀을 통과시키거나 또는 1개 이상의 비드 밀내에서 교반시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 제조방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 지르코니아 및 안정화제의 건성 혼합물은 수성 슬러리를 비드 빌로부터 분무건조기로 통과시킴에 의해 형성되는 것을 특징으로하는 제조방법.※ 참고사항 : 최초출원 내용에 의하여 공개하는 것임.
