Abstract

커넥터 장치(1)은 하우징(12)와, 하우징(12)의 한쪽 단부에 결합된 커넥터 몸체(14)를 포함한다. 하나의 하드 디스크 드라이브 패키지는 제1 및 제2데크(24, 26)에 의해 구성된 하우징(12)의 내부 공간에 삽입된다. 하드디스크 드라이브 패키지가 후우지의 내부 공간에 삽입되지 않을 때, 두 개의 메모리 카드가 제1 및 제2데크(24, 26)에 각각 삽입될 수 있다.

Claims (21)

  1. 제1 및 제2데이타 저장 매체(3, 4)중 적어도 하나를 선택적으로 접속하기 위한 커넥터 장치에 있어서, 한 쌍의 마주 보는 측벽(16)으로 정의되고 길이 방향으로 한쪽 단부에 위치한 삽입 포트(22)를 갖는 하우징(12, 120, 220), 및 하우징(12, 120, 220)의 길리방향으로 하우징(12, 120, 220)의 다른쪽 단부에 접속된 커넥터 몸체(14, 140, 240)을 포함하고, 하우징(12, 120, 220)은 삽입 포트(22)에 선택적으로 삽입되는 하나의 데이터 저장 매체(3, 4)가 그 안에 수납하도록 하우징(12, 120, 220)의 높이로 나누어져 있는 다수의 분리 공간들, 및 각 데이터 저장 매체(3, 4)를 삽입 포트(22)에서 하우징(12, 120, 220)으로 안내하기 위해 각 분리 공간을 따라 측벽(16) 상에 각각 형성된 가이드 부재(28, 30, 226, 228, 230)을 갖고 상기 다수의 분리 공간들은 그 안에 하나의 제1데이타 저장매체(3)을 수납하기 위한 적어도 하나의 제1분리 공간(24, 221, 222, 223), 및 하나의 제3데이타 저장 매체(5)를 수납하기 위한 적어도 하나의 제2분리공간(26, 224)를 갖고 있고, 상기 커넥터 몸체(14, 140, 240)은 적어도 하나의 제1커넥터(36, 38, 241, 242, 243) 및 적어도 하나의 제2커넥터(40, 244)를 포함하고, 상기 제1커넥터(36, 38, 241, 242, 243)은 대응하는 하나의 제1분리 공간(24, 221, 222, 223)에 수납된 하나의 제1데이타 저장 매체(3)에 기계적 전기적 접속을 하기 위해 제1분리 공간(24, 221, 222, 223)에 따라 형성되고, 상기 제2커넥터(40, 244)는 대응하는 제2분리공간(26, 224)에 수납된 하나의 제2데이타 저장 매체(4)에 기계적 전기적 접속으 하기 위해 제2분리 공간(26, 224)에 따라 형성된 것을 특징으로 하는 커넥터 장치.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 하나의 제2분리공간(224)가 하나의 제1분리공간(223, 224)를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 커넥터 장치.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 하나의 제1분리 공간을 포함하는 제2분리 공간(26)에 있는 제1 및 제2커넥터(36, 38)을 선택적으로 스위칭하기 위한 스위칭 수단(42)을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 커넥터 장치.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 하나의 제1분리 공간(221)와 제2분리 공간(224)와 독립적으로 존재하는 것을 특징으로 하는 커넥터 장치.
  5. 제1항에 있어서, 하나의 제2분리 공간(224)와 제1분리 공간(221)와 독립적으로 존재하는 것을 특징으로 하는 커넥터 장치.
  6. 제1항에 있어서, 제1분리 공간(24, 224)에 대응하는 위치에 있는 하우징(12, 120, 220)의 삽입 포트(22) 상에 장착되고, 제1데이타 저장 매체(3)이 제1분리 공간(24, 221)에 삽입될 때 개방되고, 제1데이타 저장 매체(3)이 제1분리 공간(24, 221)에 삽입되지 않을 때 폐쇄되도록 되어 있는 적어도 하나의 제1문(32, 231), 제1분리 영역(24, 224)에 대응하는 위치에 있는 하우징(12, 120, 220)의 삽입 포트(22)상에 장착되고 제2데이타 저장 매체(4)가 제2분리 공간(26, 224)에 삽입될 때 개방되고, 제2데이타 저장 매체(4)가 제2분리 공간(26, 224)에 삽입되지 않을 때 폐쇄되도록 되어 있는 적어도 하나의 제2문(34, 242, 233)을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 커넥터 장치.
  7. 제6항에 있어서, 하나의 제2문이 하나의 제1문을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 커넥터 장치.
  8. 제6항에 있어서, 하나의 제1문(32, 231)이 제2문(34, 232, 233)과 독립적으로 움직이는 것을 특징으로 하는 커넥터 장치.
  9. 제6항에 있어서, 하나의 제2문(34, 232, 233)이 제1문(32, 231)과 독립적으로 움직이는 것을 특징으로 하는 커넥터 장치.
  10. 제1항에 있어서, 제1 및 제2커넥터(36, 38, 40, 241, 242, 243, 244)중 적어도 하나의 커넥터에 전기적으로 접속된 하나의 회로기판(42, 44, 150, 252, 253, 254)를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 커넥터 장치.
  11. 제10항에 있어서, 회로 기판(42, 44, 242, 253, 254)가 하나의 제1커넥터(36, 38, 241, 242, 243)에 직접 전기적으로 접속되어 있고, 다른 제1커넥터(36, 38, 241, 242, 243)에 간접적으로 전기 접속되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 커넥터 장치.
  12. 제10항에 있어서, 회로 기판(44, 150, 252, 253)이 제1데이타 저장 매체(3)을 위한 인터페이스 보드인 것을 특징으로 하는 커넥터 장치.
  13. 제10항에 있어서, 회로 기판(42, 254)가 하나의 제2커넥터(40, 244)에 직접 전기적으로 접속되어 있고 다른 제2커넥터(40, 244)에 간접적으로 전기 접속되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 커넥터 장치.
  14. 제10항에 있어서, 회로기판(42, 150, 154)가 제2데이타 저장 매체(4)용 인터페이스 보드인 것을 특징으로 하는 커넥터 장치.
  15. 제1항에 있어서, 제1데이타 저장 매체(3)이 메모리 카드인 것을 특징으로 하는 커넥터 장치.
  16. 제1항에 있어서, 제2데이타 저장 매체(4)가 하드 디스크 드라이브를 채택한 하드 디스크 드라이브 패키지(4)인 것을 특징으로 하는 커넥터 장치.
  17. 제16항에 있어서, 하드 디스크 드라이브를 동작 제어하기 위하여 하나의 제2커넥터(40, 244)에 간접적으로 전기 접속된 드라이브 제어 회로 기판(150)을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 커넥터 장치.
  18. 제16항에 있어서, 하드 디스크 드라이브 패키지(4)가 하드 디스크 드라이브를 동작 제어하기 위해 드라이브 제어 회로 기판을 포함하고 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 커넥터 장치.
  19. 제16항에 있어서, 하드 디스크 드라이브 패키지(4) 및 제2커넥터(40, 244) 사이에 접속된 느슨한 기계적 접속을 방지하기 위해 하나의 제2분리공간 (26, 244)에 수납된 하드 디스크 드라이브 패키지(4)를 풀림가능하게 잠그기 위한 잠금 수단(100)을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 커넥터 장치.
  20. 제1항에 있어서, 제1 및 제2 분리 공간(24, 26, 221, 222, 224) 각각에 제공되고, 각각은 대응하는 하나의 분리 공간(24, 26, 221, 222, 224) 중 하나에 있는 커넥터들(36, 38, 40, 41, 241, 242, 243, 244) 중 하나에 접속된 하나의 데이터 저장 매체(3, 4)와 결합되고, 하우징(12, 120, 220)의 길이 방향을 따라 미끄러질 수 있는 결합 수단(76a, 76b, 76c), 및 독립적으로 동작되도록 제1 및 제2분리 수단(24, 26, 221, 222, 224)를 위해 각각 제공되고, 각각은 대응하는 하나의 분리 수단(24, 26, 221, 222, 224) 중 하나에 있는 결합 수단(76a, 76b, 76c)가 하우징(12, 120, 220)의 삽입 포트(22)쪽으로 미끄러지게 함으로써, 대응하는 하나의 분리 공간(24, 26, 221, 222, 224)에 대응하는 커넥터(36, 38, 40, 241, 242, 243, 244) 중 하나와 데이터 저장 매체(3, 4) 중 하나 사이의 전기적 접속을 해제하여, 데이터 저장 매체(3, 4)가 삽입 포트(22)를 통해 하우징(12, 120, 220)으로부터 이탈되도록 하는 이탈 수단(62a, 62b, 62c)를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 커넥터 장치.
  21. 제1 및 제2데이타 저장 매체(3, 4) 중 적어도 하나를 선택적으로 접속하기 위한 커넥터 장치에 있어서, 한쌍의 마주보는 측벽(16)으로 정의되고 길이 방향으로 한쪽 단부에 위치한 삽입 포트(22)를 하우징(12, 120) 및 하우징(12, 120)의 길이 방향으로 하우징(12,, 120)의 다른쪽 단부에 접속된 커넥터 몸체(14, 140)을 포함하고, 하우징(12, 120)은 삽입 포트(22)에 선택적으로 삽입되는 하나의 데이터 저장 매체(3, 4)가 그 안에 수납되도록 하우징(12, 120)의 높이로 나누어져 있는 다수의 분리 공간들, 및 각 데이터 저장 매체(3, 4)를 삽입 포트(22)에서 하우징(12, 120)으로 안내하기 위해 각 분리 공간을 따라 측벽(16)상에 각각 형성된 가이드 부재(28, 30)을 갖고 상기 다수의 분리 공간들은 그 안에 하나의 제1데이타 저장 매체(3)을 수납하기 위해 적어도 두 개의 제1분리 공간(24) 및 하나의 제2데이타 저장 매체(5)를 수납하기 위한 적어도 하나의 제2분리 공간(26)을 갖고 있고, 상기 커넥터 몸체(14, 140)은 적어도 두 개의 제1커넥터(36, 38) 및 적어도 하나의 제2커넥터(40)를 포함하고, 상기 제1커넥터(36, 38)은 대응하는 각 제1분리 공간(24, 221, 222, 223)에 수납된 하나의 제1데이타 저장 매체(3)에 기계적 전기적 접속을 하기 위해 제1분리 공간(24)에 따라 형성되고, 상기 제2커넥터는 대응하는 하나의 제2분리 공간(26)에 수납된 하나의 제2데이타 저장 매체(4)에 기계적 전기적 접속을 하기 위해 제2분리 공간(26)에 따라 형성되고, 제1회로 기판(4)는 제1커넥터(36, 38) 중 하나에 직접 전기 접속되고 다른 제1커넥터(36, 38)에 간접적으로 전기 접속되며, 제2회로 기판(42)는 제2커넥터(40)에 직접 전기 접속되는 것을 특징으로 하는 커넥터 장치.
