Abstract

본 발명는 다중-데스킹 컴퓨터 시스템에 연결된 포인팅 장치에 의해 시뮬레이트된 입력 신호의 다른 형태를 효율적으로 구별짓는 방법 및 장치에 관한 것이다. 상기 포인팅 장치는 스타일러스, 위치 정보를 발생키 위해타치 스크린등의 면에 교차하여 이동하는 핑거나 다른 장치가 될 수 있다. 지연 타이머 응답에 의해, 상기 포인팅 장치의 이동은 마우스 또는 제스처나 필적 입력 모드중 하나로부터 소프트웨어 응용 프로그램에 의해 입력 정보로서 이식된다. 상기 스크린에 교차하는 이동 휴지가 소정의 시간 지연 주기로 검출되는 경우, 상기 시스템은 마우스 모방 모드로 입력 정보를 수용한다.

제1도는 핑거 타치(finger touch) 및 스타일러스(stylus)위치 검출용으로 사용된 "타치 워크패드"로서 알려진 것을 형성하기 위해 플랫 판넬 표시부에 배치된 오버레이(overlay)유닛의 전면도,
제2도는 조합된 핑거 타치와 스타일러스 검출 시스템의 구조적 다이어그램,
제3도는 제1도의 타치 워크 패드상에 표시된 윈도우 표시와 마우스(mouse)명령으로서 인식된 포인팅 장치에 의해 만들어진 스트로크(stroke)를 설명하는 도면.

Claims (10)

  1. 정보 처리 시스템내의 이동 포인팅 장치 이동의 휴지를 인삭하기 위해 요구된 처리시간 감소 방법에 있어서, 상기 방법은 이동 포인팅 장치를 사용하며 상기 포인팅 장치의 위치를 표시하는 일련의 포인트들을 발생하는 단계와, 상기 다수의 포인트들을 주기적으로 수집하는 단계와, 상기 포인팅 장치의 이동이 상기 다수의 수집된 포인트내에서 발생된 결정에 응답하여, 타이머를 소정의 지연 주기로 리세팅하는 단계와, 타이머에 의해 소정의 지연주기 측정에 응답하여, 상기 포인팅 장치 이동의 휴지를 인식하기 위한 단계를 구비하는 것을 특징으로하는 처리시간 감소 방법.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 여러 가능한 포인팅 장치 사이에 중 하나로서 상기 포인팅 장치를 확인하는 단계와, 상기 다수의 포인트내의 포인트 수 및 또한 소정의 지연 주기 둘다를, 확인된 포인팅 장치에 따라, 셋팅하는 단계를 더 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 처리 시간 감소 방법.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 포인팅 장치는 타치 감지기를 교차하여 이동하는 핑거이며 상기 핑거가 타치 감지기를 리프트 오프할때 타이머를 삭제하는 단계를 더 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 그 처리 시간 감소 방법.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 정보 처리 시스템은 이동휴지 인식에 응답하여 마우스 모방 모드를 기입하는 것을 특징으로 하는 처리 시간 감소 방법.
  5. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 포인팅 장치가 그것의 포인트 발생을 종료시킬때, 타이머를 삭제하고, 그때 제스처 인식 모드를 기입하는 단계를 더 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 처리 시간 감소 방법.
  6. 데이타 처리 시스템에 있어서, 표시장치를 제어하기 위해 타치 감지기에 대해 이동되는 바와같이 위치 포인트들을 발생하는 포인팅 장치와, 상기 타치 감지기에 관계하여 이전의 위치 포인트의 소정 번호를 상기 포인팅장치 이동을 검출하는 이동 검출기장치와, 상기 포인팅 장치의 휴지를 인식하기 위해, 타이머에 의해 소정의 지연주기 측정에 응답하는 수단을 구비하며, 여기서 상기 타이머는 상기 포인팅 장치 이동이 검출될때 소정의 위치포인트 번호 다음에 리셋되는 것을 특징으로 하는 데이타 처리 시스템.
  7. 제6항에 있어서, 상기 시스템은 상기 포인팅 장치로부터의 정보를 이동 휴지 인식에 응답하는 마우스 입력데이타로서 수용하는 것을 특징으로 하는 데이타 처리 시스템.
  8. 제6항에 있어서, 상기 타치 감지기는 상기 포인팅 장치의 제어하에 정보를 표시하는 타치-감지 표시 스크린인 것을 특징으로 하는 데이타 처리 시스템.
  9. 제6항에 있어서, 상기 시스템은 상기 타이머를 관리하기 위한 단일 데스크를 표시하는 다중-데스킹 컴퓨터 시스템인 것을 특징으로 하는 데이타 처리 시스템.
  10. 제6항에 있어서, 상기 시스템은 상기 포인팅 장치가 그것의 포인트 발생을 종료시킬 때 제스처 인식 모드를 기입하는 것을 특징으로 하는 데이타 처리 시스템.
