Claims (11)

  1. 제1기판에 형성된 제1전극과, 유전층을 매개로 제2기판에 형성된 제2전극 사이에 삽입된 강유전성 액정물질로 포함하고, 상기의 유전층이 전기적인 전도성 연결수단을 매개로 제1전극에 전기적으로 연결됨으로써 상기의 유전층과 액정물질 펄스 전압인가용 외부전원에 대해 병렬로 연결되어 액정물질의 자연분극 감쇠시간을 연장하기 위한 정전용량소자로 작용함을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기의 제1및 제2전극은 한조의 교차된 투명띠전극이고, 상기의 장치는 간단한 매트릭스 어드레스계에 의해 구동됨을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
  3. 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기의 정전용량소자는 균일한 두께를 갖는 평피복층임을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
  4. 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기의 정전용량소자는 액정물질의 정전용량과 동일하거나 그보다 약간 높은 정전용량을 갖음을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
  5. 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기의 정전용량소자는 낮은 극성을 갖는 콘덴서임을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
  6. 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기의 정전용량소자는 소정의 극성 또는 반대극성을 갖는 콘덴서임을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
  7. 제6항에 있어서, 상기의 콘덴서는 전해 콘덴서임을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
  8. 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 전기적인 전도성 연결수단은 전기적인 전도성 폴임을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
  9. 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기의 액정물질은 하기의 조성물을 갖음을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
    여기에서 C*는 키랄 탄소원자를 포함한다.
  10. 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기의 장치는 640×400 도트 이상의 정보내용을 갖음을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
  11. 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기의 장치는 연속적으로 붙여진 제1기판인 유리기판과, 제1전극인 띠형상의 산화인듐적 피복과, 강유전성 액정물질층과, 상기의 제1전극에 수직으로 배치된 제2전극인 띠형상의 산화인듐적 피복과, 제2전극을 지지하는 유전층과, 제2기판인 유리기판, 및 제1전극과 유전층 사이에 배치된 연결수단인 은풀과, 장치에 연결된 외부전원을 포함함을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
